Richard Day is a lawyer within the Edge Legal practice whose background embraces artist management, music publishing, merchandising and record labels.
Day joined Edge from specialist music law practice Engel Monjack where he advised clients including record companies Ministry of Sound, Full Time Hobby Recordings, and Backyard Recordings, De-lux Merchandising, Groove Armada, James Lavelle, and advertising agency BBH. Day began his career working at EMI Music Publishing before moving on to train as a solicitor at Sanctuary Group and the specialist media litigation firm Schillings. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2003 he joined the Artist Services division of Sanctuary where he worked across the group, acting for its artist management company and its music and book publishing arms, before eventually working full time for Sanctuary’s merchandising division, Bravado International Group.
